Change the Way You Work and Realise Your Ambition
There are just 4 months to the end of the year. A nice chunk of time so you can make a difference to how things look when you review the year.
In fact, it’s enough time to make a REAL difference.
So, what’s your reaction?
Do you want to hit the ground running? Create some impetus for a new start, now the summer and holidays are over?
It could be the moment you’ve been waiting for.
To finally take that step, realise your true ambition, the one you’ve been considering for far too long…
Ready, get set
If you’re ready to make a change, do things differently, realise your ambition, what’s your first step?
Here’s a suggestion:
- Get crystal clarity on where you REALLY want to be in 5 years’ time
- Review your positioning, pricing, purpose
- What’s stopping you?
Why 5 years?
Because when you’ve looked at that longer term target, you make different choices in the immediate and short term.
If you want to leave a legacy or reputation when you move on in 5 years, you need to get started now – if you haven’t already. Is it time to speed up?
If you want to earn a larger salary commensurate with your hard work and results, decide on the figure (choose a figure, accuracy isn’t important at this point) you are aiming for. Then ask yourself: What would I be doing differently to be worth that amount? How would I feel, behave, lead others, work, be different? Then start acting up to that.
If you want to look back on your career and be totally proud of what you’ve achieved, know you’ve shaped or helped to shape the culture in a way you believe in, then what steps do you need to take? Will you take them?
Whatever YOUR first step, working with a neutral external partner helps. One – like me – who challenges and supports you, asks questions that move you forward powerfully, making space for valuable reflection.
